Dr. Dheeraj Misra

Dheeraj Misra is a Senior Faculty member of Finance at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow. He received his PhD from IIT, Kanpur, in 1994. He has over 31 years of teaching and one year of industry experience. He has published/presented several research papers in various reputed journals and conferences. His areas of specialization are Industrial Economics, Financial Derivatives, Corporate Finance, Investment Management, Corporate Valuation, and Corporate Restructuring. He has conducted various training programmes for middle and senior-level managers of Indian corporates and government bodies such as NTPC, Indian Hotels, HAL, Geological Survey of India, Airport Authority of India, Department of Public Enterprises (Government of UP), Forest Officers of Government of India, IAS and PCS officers of Government of Uttar Pradesh and many more. He is actively involved with the Institute of Actuaries of India as a member of its Advisory Group on Examination and Education. He was awarded the Arjun Arora Annual Scholarship, 1986, in recognition of his standing first in the M.A. (Economics) examination of Kanpur University in his college. He was felicitated by the Institute of Actuaries of India four times for his contribution to the actuarial profession. In the past, at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, Dheeraj Misra held various administrative positions, including Dean (Academics), Dean (Research), and Dean (Training and Development).
