National Scholarship for Post-Graduate Studies

This is to inform all the eligible students willing to apply for scholarship under “NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR POST-GRADUATE STUDIES” that they can do so via the National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in/). The detailed guidelines for the schemes are being attached herewith. All the interested students are supposed to read the guidelines carefully and apply under the said scheme only if they fulfil all the eligibility criteria defined in the scheme guidelines. The basic eligibility criteria is mentioned below –

1) The scholarship is available to the students for the first PG Degree programme only. Students, who have already acquired any postgraduate degree, are not eligible to apply.

2) Only the students, who are already admitted in the first year of PG degree programme in an eligible university/college/institution, (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Institution’), are eligible to apply.

3) Only students who are below the age of 30 years of age as on the date of admission in the first semester/year of a PG programme are eligible to apply under this scheme.

4) The scholarship is available only for students who are admitted to the PG degree programme through ‘Regular/Full Time’ mode. The students, who are pursuing any PG programme through open/distance/correspondence mode, private or part-time mode, are not eligible to apply.

5) A student is eligible to receive only one scholarship at a time. The student is required to declare that he/she shall not accept/receive any other monetary benefit/scholarship/fellowship from any other source. In other words, a student who receives scholarship under this scheme, shall not accept any other scholarship or hold any appointment, paid or otherwise, or receive any emoluments, salary, stipend, etc. from any other source during the tenure of the scholarship.

6) If a student, selected under the scheme, wishes to avail of/ apply for any other scholarship/financial assistance/paid assignment/examination during the tenure of the fellowship, he/she is not required to obtain NOC from UGC, however, in case of selection, he/she would be required to tender his/her resignation from the UGC – NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR POST-GRADUATE STUDIES scholarship.

7) In case a student is already in receipt of any scholarship/fellowship, he/she is still eligible to apply under the scheme subject to the condition that it is declared in his/her application. If the student is selected under this scheme, he/she shall have to relinquish either the previous scholarship/fellowship/any other monetary benefit or to cancel the selection under these schemes.

Note:
a) Strict action shall be taken against the student for furnishing any type of wrong/misleading information in respect of his/her eligibility and other details for getting the scholarship and for furnishing wrong/misleading information during the period of scholarship.

b) UGC reserves the right to take action/initiate proceedings against such students and for recovery of full amount of paid scholarship along with interest.

All the eligible students must apply for scholarship as early as possible. The list of documents required to be submitted to the institute is also being attached.

स्नातकोत्तर अध्ययन के लिए राष्ट्रीय छात्रवृत्ति के तहत छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन करने के इच्छुक सभी पात्र छात्रों को सूचित किया जाता है कि वे राष्ट्रीय छात्रवृत्ति पोर्टल (https://scholarships.gov.in/) के माध्यम से ऐसा कर सकते हैं। योजनाओं के लिए विस्तृत दिशानिर्देश संलग्न किए जा रहे हैं और इच्छुक छात्रों से अपेक्षा की जाती है कि वे दिशानिर्देशों को ध्यान से पढ़ें और उक्त योजना के तहत तभी आवेदन करें जब वे योजना दिशानिर्देशों में परिभाषित सभी पात्रता मानदंडों को पूरा करते हों। मूल पात्रता मानदंड नीचे उल्लिखित है –

1) छात्रवृत्ति केवल प्रथम पीजी डिग्री कार्यक्रम के लिए छात्रों को उपलब्ध है। वे छात्र, जिन्होंने पहले से ही कोई स्नातकोत्तर डिग्री हासिल कर ली है, आवेदन करने के पात्र नहीं हैं।

2) केवल वे छात्र, जो किसी योग्य विश्वविद्यालय/कॉलेज/संस्थान में पीजी डिग्री कार्यक्रम के पहले वर्ष में प्रवेश ले चुके हैं, आवेदन करने के पात्र हैं।

3) केवल वे छात्र जो पीजी कार्यक्रम के पहले सेमेस्टर/वर्ष में प्रवेश की तिथि के अनुसार 30 वर्ष से कम आयु के हैं, इन योजनाओं के तहत आवेदन करने के पात्र हैं।

4) छात्रवृत्ति केवल उन छात्रों के लिए उपलब्ध है जो ‘नियमित/पूर्णकालिक’ मोड के माध्यम से पीजी डिग्री कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश लेते हैं। जो छात्र ओपन/डिस्टेंस/पत्राचार मोड, निजी या अंशकालिक मोड के माध्यम से किसी भी पीजी कार्यक्रम में दाखिला ले रहे हैं, वे आवेदन करने के पात्र नहीं हैं।

5) एक छात्र एक समय में केवल एक ही छात्रवृत्ति प्राप्त करने का पात्र है। छात्र को यह घोषित करना आवश्यक है कि वह किसी अन्य स्रोत से कोई अन्य मौद्रिक लाभ/छात्रवृत्ति/फ़ेलोशिप स्वीकार/प्राप्त नहीं करेगा/करेगी। दूसरे शब्दों में, जो छात्र इस योजना के तहत छात्रवृत्ति प्राप्त करता है, वह छात्रवृत्ति के कार्यकाल के दौरान कोई अन्य छात्रवृत्ति स्वीकार नहीं करेगा या कोई नियुक्ति, भुगतान या अन्यथा नहीं करेगा, या किसी अन्य स्रोत से कोई परिलब्धियां, वेतन, वजीफा आदि प्राप्त नहीं करेगा।

6) यदि योजना के तहत चयनित कोई छात्र फेलोशिप के कार्यकाल के दौरान किसी अन्य छात्रवृत्ति/वित्तीय सहायता/भुगतान असाइनमेंट/परीक्षा का लाभ उठाना/आवेदन करना चाहता है, तो उसे यूजीसी से एनओसी प्राप्त करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, हालांकि, चयन के मामले में, उसे यूजीसी छात्रवृत्ति से अपना इस्तीफा देना होगा।

7) यदि कोई छात्र पहले से ही किसी छात्रवृत्ति/फ़ेलोशिप प्राप्त कर रहा है, तो वह अभी भी इस योजना के तहत आवेदन करने के लिए पात्र है, बशर्ते कि यह उसके आवेदन में घोषित किया गया हो। यदि छात्र को इस योजना के तहत चुना जाता है, तो उसे पिछली छात्रवृत्ति/फ़ेलोशिप/कोई अन्य मौद्रिक लाभ छोड़ना होगा या इन योजनाओं के तहत चयन रद्द करना होगा।

नोट:
क) छात्रवृत्ति प्राप्त करने के लिए अपनी पात्रता और अन्य विवरण के संबंध में किसी भी प्रकार की गलत/भ्रामक जानकारी देने और छात्रवृत्ति की अवधि के दौरान गलत/भ्रामक जानकारी देने पर छात्र के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

ख) यूजीसी ऐसे छात्रों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने/कार्यवाही शुरू करने और भुगतान की गई छात्रवृत्ति की पूरी राशि ब्याज सहित वसूलने का अधिकार सुरक्षित रखता है।

इस योजना के तहत पात्र छात्रों को जल्द से जल्द छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन करना होगा। संस्थान में जमा किये जाने वाले आवश्यक दस्तावेजों की सूची भी संलग्न की जा रही है।
