This is to inform all the eligible students willing to apply for scholarship under “Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities” that they can do so via the National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in/). The detailed scheme guidelines along with the FAQs are being attached herewith and the interested students are supposed to read the documents carefully and apply under the scheme only if they fulfil all the eligibility criteria defined in the scheme guidelines. The eligibility criteria & Selection Procedure is mentioned below :
Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh.
Selection Procedure:
Fresh : Inter-se selection weightage is to be given to poverty rather than marks (the applicant is required to submit an income certificate). In case of same income, merit shall be generated from the ‘Date of Birth’ criteria of the applicant (senior is preferred).
Renewal : There is no merit list generation for renewal cases. Renewal applicants will get the scholarship if one has obtained 50% in his/her previous year’s examinations (at the same institute and in the same course)
The Basic Conditions For Scholarship are given below :
1) An Income Certificate, issued from a Competent Authority in the State/UT Governments is required in respect of the parent /guardian of the student.
2) A Self-Certified Community Certificate (format available in student login on NSP) is required from the student who has attained 18 years of age. For others the Community Certificate certified by the parent/guardian of the student is required.
3) The continuance of award (for Renewal applicants) will be subject to securing 50% marks in the previous year’s examination (provided the students pursue the same course and same Institute/School).
4) Scholarship will not be given to more than two students from a family (students applying under this scheme are required to submit an affidavit to the institute in this regard).
5) Migration of students from one school/institute to another is not allowed for renewal applicants during the period of academic course.
6) If a student violates school discipline or any other terms and conditions of the scholarship, scholarship may be suspended or cancelled. The State Government/Union Territory Administration can also directly cancel the award if duly satisfied of the reasons of violation of these regulations governing the scheme.
7) If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement, his/her scholarship will be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid will be recovered by the concerned State/UT Govt.
8) The student obtaining benefits under this scheme shall not be allowed to avail of benefits under any other scheme for this purpose.
9) A student shall be eligible for only one scholarship out of all the available Scholarships of Central Government meant for SC/ST/OBC/ minority
10) It will be necessary for the eligible applicants to provide Aadhaar number while applying for the scholarship and in case, an individual does not possess Aadhaar one can provide the details of alternative identification documents, as stated in the Gazette Notification- S.O. No. 1284 (E) No. 1137, dated 21.04.2017 (as per Appendix-C).
11) Students who have entered Aadhaar in their online application correctly and Aadhaar seeded with any of their bank account, in such cases the amount of scholarship will be credited to Aadhaar seeded bank account only (though student has mentioned any other non-seeded bank account in online application)
Note:
a) Students are expected to carefully read the attached documents for detailed eligibility criteria and guidelines and comply with them.
b) All the eligible students must apply for scholarship as early as possible. The tentative list of supporting documents required to be submitted to the institute is also being attached. Students must submit the documents to the institute after which the verification process will commence.

अल्पसंख्यकों के लिए पोस्ट मैट्रिक छात्रवृत्ति योजना के तहत छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन करने के इच्छुक सभी पात्र छात्रों को सूचित किया जाता है कि वे राष्ट्रीय छात्रवृत्ति पोर्टल (https://scholarships.gov.in/) के माध्यम से ऐसा कर सकते हैं। विस्तृत योजना दिशानिर्देश के साथ अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्न यहां संलग्न किए जा रहे हैं और इच्छुक छात्रों से अपेक्षा की जाती है कि वे दस्तावेजों को ध्यान से पढ़ें और योजना के तहत आवेदन तभी करें जब वे योजना दिशानिर्देशों में परिभाषित सभी पात्रता मानदंडों को पूरा करते हों। पात्रता मानदंड और चयन प्रक्रिया नीचे उल्लिखित है :
पात्रता मानदंड -:
छात्रवृत्ति उन छात्रों को प्रदान की जाएगी जिन्होंने पिछली अंतिम परीक्षा में 50% से कम अंक या समकक्ष ग्रेड हासिल नहीं किया है और जिनके माता-पिता/अभिभावकों की सभी स्रोतों से वार्षिक आय 2.00 लाख रुपये से अधिक नहीं है।
चयन प्रक्रिया
नवीन : अंतर-चयन में अंकों के बजाय गरीबी को महत्व दिया जाना है (आवेदक को आय प्रमाण पत्र जमा करना आवश्यक है)। समान आय के मामले में, आवेदक के ‘जन्म तिथि’ मानदंड से योग्यता उत्पन्न की जाएगी (वरिष्ठ को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी)।
नवीनीकरण : नवीनीकरण मामलों के लिए कोई योग्यता सूची तैयार नहीं की जाती है। नवीनीकरण आवेदकों को छात्रवृत्ति मिलेगी यदि किसी ने अपने पिछले वर्ष की परीक्षाओं में (उसी संस्थान में और उसी पाठ्यक्रम में) 50% अंक प्राप्त किए हैं।
